Here's a list of the typical questions we get asked as a breeder. If you can't find the answer here then please get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
Puppy proof it. Electric wires on view could be chewed which could be very dangerous and could even result in death if your puppy chews through them and electrocute's himself. This also includes your phone line an easy one to chew through (I know several friends who have had this happen). So stimulating your puppies attention to chew the things they are allowed is a better option.
Do you have any house plants low enough down near the floor that your puppy could eat?, as some house plants are poisonous to dogs and could make your puppy very ill if eaten, so to safe guard this, move them to a higher out of reach position, so as to avoid a vets bill early on, and mud and dirt all over your floor. The yellow stamen from Lillies is very piosonous to dogs so i usually cut them out to avoid any problems.
No, this is not a good idea as it will cause damage to the growth plates. Also do not allow your puppy to jump off high surfaces as this is also harmful to your growing developing puppy. We carry our puppies up and down stairs for the first couple of months.
Crate training is an effective way of house training your puppy, because a dog does not like to soil it's sleeping place, and given the chance it will go else where. Temporarily confining your dog to a small area strongly inhibits the tendency to urinate and defecate. If you let your puppy have the run of the house they will leave you unwanted presents. Dog's are 'den' animals and the crate should take on this roll for them, giving them a secure place that they will feel comfortable in.

Yes, but we prefure to do this when we know one of our bitches is going to be mated. If you are a genuine enquiry then you should get in touch and we will keep your details.
Of course you can. Once you have made contact with and are genuinely interested in a puppy then we encourage this. If you just want to see the breed then go to Crufts and visit Discover dogs which is a great place to start you dog owning journey.
We recommend insuring your puppy/dog as, like all private medicine, vetinary costs are high these days. Our pups come with 4 weeks free insurance with pet plan
No I'm afraid not. We place breeding endorsements on all our Kennel Club registrations certificates for dogs that will be pets. We encourage spaying and castration. If however we know someone well in the UK and they show or work their dogs and wish for a breeding dog we will then consider removing the endorsement.
We feed all our dogs on the BARF diet, which basically means raw meat. The puppies will be sent home with a weeks supply of food. If you need help on sourcing food we can recommened some good suppliers.
Never give your dog cooked bones as these can splinter and cause a costly vets bill.
It is best to wait until at least three months after the bitches first season before getting her spayed. But if her first season is at 6 months old it would be better to wait until after her second season so that her body and mind have matured. If you spay her sooner she would not have matured in to her body.
This depends on how domineering the dog is. No dog should be castrasted before 12-14 months as it hasn't had time to mature into its body properly and can take longer to mentally grow up. Also it is possible of the dog will grow bigger than his sibblings.
